Dave Wiechman has served our community for over 30 years including as a director of West Metro Fire District, Jefferson Center for Mental Health,Citizens for Lakewood’s Future, and Green Mountainside Civic Association. Since 2009 Dave has served on Lakewood City Council representing Ward 4 (Green Mountain area). He appreciates the opportunity to serve the people of Lakewood and work for smart growth, proper taxes, local business, public safety, and government accountability.
Dave Wiechman is a political moderate who favors compromise over dogmatic and entrenched positions. At the heart of his work is a dedication to practical solutions that benefit Lakewood citizens. Dave has five primary goals for Lakewood’s future:
SMART GROWTH. He works to manage growth to maximize economic benefits but minimize the loss of open space or treasured neighborhoods.
PROPER TAXES. Keep taxes as low as possible while simultaneously providing the resources and services Lakewood citizens deserve and rely upon.
CITIZEN EMPOWERMENT. An open and transparent city government that welcomes the real involvement of its citizens.
PUBLIC SAFETY – providing the best police, fire and emergency services to protect our families
Strong Economy – working with the business community to help small businesses and encourage good jobs.
